A separate poll released by CNN found 71% of respondents say they feel deep sympathy for the Israeli people over the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas, with nearly all expressing at least some sympathy for them. A broad majority also feel at least some sympathy for the Palestinian people, CNN said. The Biden administration has been strongly supportive of Israel with the president expressing "unwavering support" in recent days. Warnock performed strongly in the Atlanta metropolitan area; in the Atlanta suburbs, he edged out Walker by three-percentage points (47%-44%). (A recent CBS News/YouGov poll showed Warnock with a narrower 51%-49% edge over Walker.) Among voters who indicated that they were highly likely to vote in November, Vance led by a similar one-point margin (48%-47%). Ryan led Vance by 11 percentage points (50%-39%) among nonwhite voters. Rep. Tim Ryan is the 2022 Ohio Democratic Senate nominee. DeWine, who is seeking a second term in office, received the backing of 92% of Republicans and attracted the support of 10% of Democratic respondents.
